Charter Agreement
Once the availability of your chosen yacht has been verified, a standard MYBA Charter Agreement will be sent to you for signature. If you want to embark and disembark from another port on your chosen cruise route, positioning fees may vary. Once these fees are confirmed, they will be specified in the Charter Agreement along with any applicable taxes.

PAYMENT TERMS
The deposit of 50 percent of the total rental fee is paid via bank transfer immediately after signing the MYBA Charter Agreement. The remaining 50 percent plus the Advance Provisioning Allowance, with all taxes, delivery/re-delivery charges, and any additional agreed fees, may be paid by wire transfer five weeks before contract commencement.

OPERATING EXPENSES
Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) will be paid at the time of final lease payment. Under MYBA terms, this amount usually equals 25 percent of the total rental fee but can be up to 30 percent in some cases.

APA, which is intended to cover the operating expenses of a charter as described in the Charter Conditions, such as fuel, food, beverage, port fees, and temporary expenses, will be given to the captain before your charter begins. While an up-to-date account statement can be requested at any time during your charter, a full set of accounts will be provided by your captain at the end of the cruise. Additional cash funds will be required at once if the expenditure exceeds the amount already paid.

All outstanding invoices on a yacht charter must be paid before disembarkation by cash or bank transfer. Of course, at the end of your lease, the remaining credit will be fully repaid to you.

Personal Preferences
A few weeks before boarding your yacht, Royals Yacht will ask you to complete a detailed questionnaire describing the preferences of all members of your party and their specific needs, such as dietary or media requirements, allergy details, and your sports or entertainment wishes. This will ensure that Royals Yacht and the crew of the charter yacht you choose will do everything possible to make your charter a fantastic experience.

INTERNET Availability
Most yachts provide standard wireless access, but service in certain areas may be limited and not guaranteed. If you anticipate regular use of the Internet or require broadband bandwidth during your charter, please notify Royals Yacht before boarding as upgrades may be subject to availability and your account may be charged according to your needs.

SMOKING ONBOARD
Smoking is only allowed on the deck and some yachts in private outside areas. Please consult Royals Yacht for verification. For safety reasons, smoking is prohibited in the cabins and staterooms of all yachts.

Crew Gratitude’s
Crew gratuities are optional, but it is customary for a guest who enjoys the courteous and attentive service of a crew to extend a tip. Crew gratuities are normally around 10 percent of the rental price but can be adjusted to your satisfaction level.

The best way to ensure that all crew members are recognized equally is to entrust the distribution of tips to the captain. In this way, inconspicuous team members such as engineers and kitchen staff who make a significant contribution to your enjoyment will not be overlooked.

RECREATION EQUIPMENT
Recreational equipment listed for yachts is believed to be correct but cannot be guaranteed as they may change soon. If modifications are necessary, the owner will make every possible effort to similarly replace the equipment. Personal watercraft (jet skis, wave runners, etc.) may be restricted in certain cruise areas and guests must also obtain an appropriate operating license. Please check with Royals Yacht first for any guidelines or if you have any special requirements for that matter.

INSURANCE
Royals Yacht strongly recommends that guests take out Cancellation and Restriction Insurance to protect their investment in case unforeseen circumstances prevent or restrict their charter. In addition, all members of the charter party must be covered by Personal Accident and Health Insurance and their personal belongings must be insured against theft, loss, or damage.

Other types of insurance, such as Renter Liability, may also be prudent. Our brokers will be happy to give you additional advice on this matter.
